Frisco and Conk Win National Honors

BLACKSBURG, VA (6/30/2005) - Environmental Services & Consulting (ES&C) would like to congratulate fellow employees Douglas Frisco, Scientist, and Carlin Conk, Scientist, both members of the Virginia Tech Soil Judging Team on winning the overall national championship at the 2005 American National Soil Judging Championship hosted by Auburn University, April 3-8.

Doug Frisco received first place in the individual contest, placing first among 88 students and Carlin Conk placed sixth.

Mr. Frisco and Ms. Conk are working on variety of projects, including VPDES permitting, Section 404 Permitting, Joint Permit Applications, wetland delineations, stream surveys, enhancement and restoration projects.
